Trio releases new album honoring Slovenian musical legend Mojmir Sepe

Marko Churnchetz Trio releases a fresh album on renowned Slovenian label ZKPRTV entitled Without Words - The Music of Mojmir Sepe, which is a translation of "Brez besed", which is a title of one of the pieces that this trio feat. Josh Ginsburg on double bass and Kristijan Krajnčan on drums covers on this tribute disc.

The music was recorded live on a concert at Cukrarna, a music venue in Ljubljana, Slovenia, on 19th of February 2023. This is Churnchetz's first live album.

Mojmir Sepe was one of most important musical figures on Slovenian popular music scene. He composed many evergreen songs for the National Radio and Television Orchestra RTV and almost his every composition was a radio hit in the 60's and 70's. One could compare his contribution to Slovenian musical heritage to what the most popular American composers as George Gershwin, Cole Porter or Billy Strayhorn did for American music.
